just wondering if the game will render my gunship if i used boolean to cut out holes for missles and the seating spot? what things that 3ds max has that i cant use in torque to.

also can one of the devs or anyone give me a person model in sitting position in max format, 4.2 , i need to scale the vehicle to the people. its looking soooooooo bad ass right now, gonna PWN :) !

hehe right now its up to 4092 polies and i still need to add like 500 more hehe think thats to much? its gonna be a 3 person gunship and it will be EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMLY Damaging, i mean sooooooooooooooooo damaging, so would 4500 polies not matter if i make it only one at a time? like tribes vehicle maxes? or try to delete alot of polies?

Anotherthing hehe, now the game crashes when i load the model in legends, can someone tell me exactly what vehicle dummies are required for a flying vehicle, thanx. Also if you can, awnser the first 3 questions to hehe i still need to know.

and it dont crash now but syntax says it cannot create when i try to load the gunship and it doesnt load. but when i put that code back in it crashes again........
can someone help, im trying to make a hovering gunship it looks BAD ASS right now and i need to test it.
does the engine make a log file somewhere of the console when the game crashes or are there any programs that do?

You can use boolean, as long as its converted to editable mesh before export. 4500 polys is pretty high....when I do our vehicles (may start on them sometime next week) I'm planning on keeping them around 1500-2000 max. If you have 3 players on it, plus the gunship, that puts it around 13k polys, so you'd better have good lod setup on it.
As far as the nodes needed, theres several docs and forums posts on that type of stuff on garagegames.com been awhile since I've exported vehicles, so I dont remember off the top of my head.
you'll have to get nightmare or a coder to answer the scripting problems.

well i havent seen a doc for flying vehicles i only have tribes 2 vehicles in max format and i dont know what dummies they added that wont work with legends, currently the gunship has (col-1-9's), shape(Dummy) Start(Dummy) the vehicle mesh, mount0 and the collision meshes also los-9-14 and loscol9-14,also the mass, cam, eye and thats it i think, all linked right i think what else do i need, is there a node for the afterburners the jets on the back? or anything else?

The mod i plan on making WILL be real damage. Almost every weapon will one shot in the chest, the gunship will be the most powerfull and feared so you will try to avoid it if your not in another vehicle or have a rocket launcher :). Anyways i got a virus like a idiot and had to re-format so i have to re-do the Gunship. Going to give it a different look this time.
