Hi i was just wondering if anyone can tell me exactly what dummies and stuff is required in "legends" models, i know theres tutorials but i havent seen one exactly for weapons. i made a minigun weapon and got it working in game with a crappy animation but all i added to it was (dummy)Shape, (dummy)detail110, (dummy)start, (dummy)Mountponint, the mesh the bounds and the animation sequence, i linked them all right but...... it looks as if the bullet is shooting out of the players head instead of the barrel so do i need to make mountpoint2 or something near the barrel? please be exact.... also im just now figureing out uv corrdanates, and l only have like 2 textures, how do you guys get textures, do you draw em in paint or something. Im thinking of getting a digital camera, taking pictures of stuff then pixelating it to look cartoonish, but if someone else can tell me a better way id like to hear it :) .

Add muzzlePoint where you want the bullets to come from, and retractionPoint at the front tip of the gun, linked the same as mountPoint.

hmm thats wierd the model shouldn't have shot if it didnt have a muzzlepoint. what does refractionpoint do by the way?

if a model is missing a dummy, it'll generally use the pivot point of the bounds box. retraction point is to keep the gun from disappearing into walls, etc...when that touches the wall, the gun stops moving forward

ah that thing - I thought it would use a Col-1 box thingo. Heh, ah well.
Would be better if the gun stopped the player moving I reckon, if its gonna look that weird (as it does in T2 )it might as well not happen and just poke through the wall.
